Rain dog got to try out her new backpack on this hike. We filled it with treats, her water dish, and her leash. She wasn't too happy at first but she definitely got use to it.
We walked and walked, and got a little lost, and then walked and walked some more. It was the hottest day so far and we both came home with sun burns. Before going home it was important that we scale at least one summit, so we found/made up a trail to the top of the closest one. It was pretty steep and somewhat sketchy but we made it. Poor little Raindog stepped on a Teddy Bear Cactus and it went in pretty deep, they're the worst ones to get out too. It took a while and a lot of yipping but she managed to make it the rest of the way and I think she finally learned her lesson!
